Today Andrew had the great idea of going on a hike up to the Timpanogos Cave. It was about a 1.5 mile hike to the cave entrance and the actual cave tour lasted about 45 minutes. It was a beautiful day and when we got there we found out that today was the opening day of the season! We learned all about calcite, helictites, stalactites and stalagmites (I admit that I had to look the terms up).

Hey...I did that hike when I was really young. It was pretty cool. Did they turn off the flashlights when you were in the cave? They did on our hike & my shoes had little designs painted on them with glow in the dark paint...and the paint work! I bet if they would have left the flashlights off I could have led the entire crew out with my glowing shoes. What a funny memory.
What a nice looking couple of spelunkers.
