A bit of her personality

Chillin
She loves to be on her back and will squirm around for a while when she is not sleeping.

Hiccups
She gets these a lot and they are usually accompanied by a sad whimper like "Not again..."

Sleeping
This is what makes it okay to wake up 3 times in the night because she falls asleep smiling almost every time.

Watching TV
She is a little Andrew already... she's got her eyes pegged!

Kaili had a photoshoot

On Tuesday morning I had a friend of ours who is a photographer come over and take some pictures of Kaili. The plan was that I would bathe her knowing that she would be most awake just after and that if I fed her she would sleep for a long time so we could take the majority of them with her asleep.

I think they turned out awesome, but there is a funny story behind it all...

Well, she peed in the bath water, then again on my leg just after her bath and then again when I went to put a diaper on her on the changing table. We put her in her first pose and we found a smudge of poo on the scarf, then we put her on the next set and we found another smudge, then on a blanket, then there were two other little episodes, and then she finally let loose on my arm and peed on our bed for the grand finale. I ended up doing 2 loads of laundry for the 3 hours she had her diaper off.

I am glad she is so healthy. Here are my favorites from the pics she took. The photographer's name is Brooke Snow if any of you want to look her up. She gave us a REALLY good deal since she had never taken newborn shots before.

Baby Shower Quilt

We did it! While my mom was here we were able to finish the quilt we started at my baby shower back in December. I think it turned out great! I love that Kaili will be able to know that all of her "aunties" had a part in stitching on those cute shapes! Thanks for your help! And thanks Susan for helping me with my vision :).

Long fingers, long toes and long tongue!

Kaili not only has long fingers and toes (thanks to me), but she loves her tongue! Every waking (and sleeping) moment she just plays with it. Sticking it out and sweeping it across her lips. In fact, that was the first thing the nurses said when she was delivered "Look at that tongue!" She came out sticking it in and out. We are hopeful that her fingers and toes will bring her athletic success, but we aren't quite sure what to think of her long tongue!
